2 describes the paths of icebergs along shipping lanes
3 describes the paths of seismic sea waves
4 studies solar radiation
5 studies air pollution
6 explores for geothermal power
7 plans water supplies for cities and towns
8 hypothesizes about distant galaxies
9 maps the ocean currents
ok i cant find them anywhere!! ive looked for at least an hour and a half already and havent gotten anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!
gee thanks for all the suggestions.. but i need actual ANSWERS
The answers have to be in the book, because all of them would have hundreds of answers. There are thousands of scientist who do or have done the things listed in the phrases.
The handout is to just check to make sure you did the reading assignment, and find what specific scientists were listed in that particular category. If not in book, then maybe teacher covered them in a lecture? Check with other students, to see where they found the answers.
Check your index, and also the appendix for lists of scientists and their specialties.
#8 could be several people, even Greek philosophers like Aristotle.
#9 could be Humbolt, as they named an ocean current after Humbolt.
Sorry, but the topics are too broad, and no one has read every science book in the world.
